A very nice article about mid-century architecture in Sarasota, Florida. For the same reason that the city I call home, Phoenix, Arizona, has so many modernist residences, many places in Florida arose with the influx of immigrants from the northeast and elsewhere after World War II. A significant number of the houses needed were Mid Century Modern.
